Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe?

Yes! Being a non- contact sport, paintball and airsoft do not have anywhere near the injuries of other sports like Soccer, Hockey or Basketball. When playing under professional, supervised conditions with proper equipment, it is statistically safer than golf or bowling!

Does it hurt?

This is the most commonly asked question we get. The majority of players have no issues getting shot and some don't even know they were hit. Occasionally you'll get hit with a shot that stings, but the discomfort only lasts a moment. If you are concerned, wear layers or heavy clothing for padding. You can always take layers off if you don't need them.

How old do you have to be to play?

Players range from 10 years old to senior citizens however, you must be at least 10 to play paintball or 13 to play airsoft. For groups younger than 13, we recommend SplatMaster.

Everyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their liability waiver.

Do I need parental permission?

Yes, if you are under the age of 18.

Print out our waiver so Mom or Dad can sign it

What can I do to prepare for my day at the field?

There are several things you can do before heading to the field. You can complete your liability waiver and review our policies and basic rules.

What should I wear?

Be dressed appropriately for the weather and as if you are going hiking. Long pants and sleeves, along with a pair of old boots or sneakers, are appropriate. You may want to wear old clothing, because you are going to get dirty. And you may want dark colored clothing to help conceal your position in the woods. We do not rent gloves, supporters, hats or bandanas.

You do not want to wear shorts or thin clothing, dress shoes, jewelry, metal spikes, weapons of any sort

What should I bring?

A change of clothes, paper towels for wiping off sweat and cleaning your goggles, snacks and NON ALCOHOLIC drinks like Gatorade or water (we sell this, but it’s cheaper if you bring your own). You may want to bring gloves to protect your hands (again, we sell this, but it’s cheaper if you bring your own). We have everything you’ll need on site. Please note that if you are renting equipment we will require a valid I.D. for collateral.

Can I bring a camera?

Yes. In fact, we recommend it!

What should I do about food?

You can bring your own food, with the exception of alcoholic beverages. Alcohol is strictly forbidden at the field. We also offer a pizza lunch for $5 (two slices and a drink). If you do bring your own food, don't forget the plates, and utensils, as we do not have them at the field.

Can I bring beer?

No.

There is absolutely no alcohol or drugs of any kind allowed on the property.

How much paint/bb's will I need?

That depends on you. If you play the game like Rambo, you can shoot all your paintballs in one game. On average, players who are renting equipment shoot about 500 paintballs in a 3 hour session (or 1000 in a full day of play). Airsoft rentals tend to shoot about 1000 bb's (which come with the admission and rental package). Additional bb's need to be purchased in 3500 to 5000 round packages for $25.

Can I bring my own paint?

Warzone is a Field Paint Only facility.

Self-equipped players playing in the woods may bring paint purchased from Rhode Island Paintball (bring the receipt!).

Airball (tournament) field paint must be purchased at the field.

Can I bring my own BB's?

Players that are renting equipment must shoot field BB’s only.

Self-equipped players may bring their own BB’s, but they must be Bio's

What time should I arrive?

Gates open at 9 am. We suggest getting to the field one hour before your party begins so you can be set up in time for the first game, which usually kicks off at about 10 am.

How many games do we play in a day?

A typical full day of paintball, which runs from 10 to 4, usually consists of between 6 and 8 games. Each game may have different objectives, duration and may be played on a different part of the field, so you'll get in a good variety of experiences. Airsoft games tend to be longer in duration, so you won't get as many in. Remember, the faster you get ready, the more games you'll play in a day.

What happens if it rains?

This is not a day at the beach! If the weather isn't perfect, it usually doesn't interrupt your good time on the field. Just expect to get dirty.  However, if the weather just isn't cooperating, we may cancel the game and give you the option of rescheduling your play date.

Can I climb a tree?

No. We don't allow tree climbing for safety reasons. Besides, once you've been spotted, you'd be a sitting duck!

Can we play privately?

Yes. Warzone offers private parties for any groups of ten or more for an additional $100 Private Party fee. However, we think you'll have more fun in the open group. The more people there are to shoot at, the more fun the games.

When is the field open?

We are open for airsoft every other Sunday from April through November, from 9 am until 4:30 pm. Check the calendar for more details.
